Re: WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH MY BONNE?

<sigh> Guys, the idea here is to give us links to after market parts. Sometimes you don't know exactly what you want until you see it. The links and ideas I hoped to receive here would've helped. But after reading the replies here, I give up.

Never mind replies here. I won't be back.

Re: WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH MY BONNE?

Here is a link for the Actron scan tool on Amazon. This is the cheapest I've ever found Actron scanners.

If anyone has any experience with this scanner, let me know. I'm considering buying this one.

WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH MY BONNE?

Hello, Bonne owners!

I've owned four Bonne's and loved em all. But I'm SO disappointed with the lack of support in the after market world for our cars.

As I find a few resources for after market goodies, I'll post em here.

Anyone whom has links to good providers of after market goodies for our ...

Re: After a year and a half...I finally cleaned my engine bay!

Your '97 Le Sabre is in nice shape. I especially like the motor compartment. My son bought a rusted out 93 Le Sabre a year ago. For a cheap work car, it was remarkably well running. A month ago, my son decided to pull in front of someone who was driving a Jeep Wrangler. The Buick lost in the ...

Re: Engine codes

Wow, looks like the club dropped the ball on this one. Sorry about that.

The initial problem might be just the O2 sensor. It is easy to replace, install a new one and see if that takes care of the problem. Sometimes when an O2 sensor is giving faulty data to the computer, it goes off on strange ...

Allot cheaper to replace the lines yourself.

Re: Brake Problem

The first thing I'd do would be to bleed all the lines thoroughly and go from there.

If it isn't that, then I'd replace the master cylinder, re-bleed the whole system, and see how that goes.

If it isn't that, then I'd replace the booster.

Re: Quick Air Strut Question....

This reply is way late. Sorry no one got back to you.

I think you can go a year in either direction on that one. To verify this, call a body shop and ask them.

Are the air struts in your car in good condition?

Re: Fog light switch

Because of the way that they factory wiring is done, I would opt against that idea. It is much safer and easier to install the switch that came with the aftermarket fog lights.

Re: blower motor

For the blower motor you can disconnect the power connector and apply 12 VDC directly do the motor. If it is a bad motor, you can find them at just about any junk yard. They're easy to remove/install.

It could be just a relay that is bad causing the motor not to function too. On your year I think ...

Re: Replacing nylon fuel lines

When this happened to my 95 SSE, I went to the local Napa store, bought a new line, and installed it. No special tools. Price was around $20. Fuel line has been fine for over a year now.

Re: spark plug questions....

You could replace the plugs if you desire. But it sounds like the ones you have are good.
Check the plugs in the back. If they look good, just re-gap and re-install them. Be sure to tighten them to the torque spec.

Re: half shaft and ball joint drivers side

The bolts are likely gaulded into place with rust. When I replaced my rear air struts, I fought with them, too. A sledge hammer wouldn't budge mine (mine were original from 95). I bought new bolts (I bought them from Advance Auto Parts) and then called my father to bring his hot wrench (torch). We ...

Re: First detail ever, need some help

You can do a nice detail yourself without too much hassle. Here are some points to consider:
- Don't use a buffer or any electric tool. It's too easy to damage the clear coat and/ or paint.
- Use two buckets, one for soapy water and one for rinse water. I use a microfiber covered
sponge. Wash ...

Re: The hood scoop, part 2

First of all, thank you for showing that scoop - it's exactly the one I've been looking for.

I've been wondering what to do when I install my scoop as well. The engine compartment in my 95 stays hotter than I'd like. A scoop could solve this problem. But I'm concerned about water and other ...

Re: New windshield disaster

I have encountered shops that didn't want to do the job right. Mainly because they think that my '95 SSE is just too old to spend money on. They offer me cheaper (inferior) parts and recommend that I sell it "while it's still running". My car has over 230,000 miles and that seems to indicate a ...
