Re: Cabin Air Filter
When I had my LeSabre's dash out (no cabin air filter) the vents were all caked with dust in different places. The filter definitely makes a difference.

Re: Silver Shadow wrecked!
As others have said you can definitely tell the car did its job looking at the pics. Not so much as a scratch on the passenger area.
Congrats on the new ride also.

The one in my Maxima is similarly a nightmare to replace...
It really shocks you how much crap those things keep out of your car over time, when you pull it out. Saves on dusting, no doubt...

Looks good! Definitely can tell a lot of work went into it looking at the then and now pics. Especially like the custom steering wheel, looks like it should have rolled off the factory floor with it.

Hate that your car is totaled, but I'm glad your wife is okay and seems to have only minor injuries at the moment.

Re: Latest wheels - Nissan Maxima SV
Thanks guys!
I still have a rear spoiler that I never installed.
It just need to be repainted (was silver) fifty bucks if you want it
Wife says I'm not allowed to put the spoiler on it :(
I mentioned it once, but she said she liked it just the way it looked.

Here's a few more...some night shots. 5000k LED illumination inside and out is the only modification I've made to it. It's got factory HIDs which I intend to keep, as well as the halogens in the footwells and trunk as you'll see in the pics.

Latest wheels - Nissan Maxima SV
Hey there, it's been a while since I've been here, this forum last saw me in a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ 3.6. Traded it in at 101k miles for this. It's a 2012 Maxima SV Premium, Super Black with black leather and red stitching accents on the inside. One owner and barely 20k miles. It's my first ever ...

But I think they only sound good below 3000... it's the rumbling and growling they're best at ;)
Yeah I know we're probably talking about the old 60 degree pushrods...but have you heard GM's newer 60 degree V6's?

I'd get the SRT-8 unless you spring for the GXP G8 instead of the GT.

Re: It's about *dang* time...video of the 3.6 V6 Malibu LTZ
Forgot to check up on this...thanks guys! I love the way it sounds too. The 3.6 is a screamer for sure with it's 7000 rpm redline. Many tunes can actually safely push the redline up to nearly 8000 rpm. Check this out:

I know it doesn't help you much, but the sunroof in my parent's Enclave and the one in my Malibu are top notch and used often with no problems or any signs of failure at all. I'd use it with confidence.

Re: Bought A G8 - PICTURES On Page 2
You should have Bluetooth, most GM cars started having it in 08-09.
Try this:
Hit the voice command button on the steering wheel. Your car will say "OnStar Ready". Then say Bluetooth. Your car will either say something related to that or "Pardon?" Good way to find out for sure that you don't have ...

Re: Bought A G8 - PICTURES On Page 2
There's no doubt that the car does a better job on it's own...but until you've driven it on a twisty road, tapped it down a couple of gears entering a corner, then punched it on the exit...no amount of logic is gonna tell you the car can do it better!

Buy with confidence. We have two cars now with the 3.6/six speed combo and they are bulletproof. Literally. I've had more problems with the 4L60E in my truck (another solid transmission) in the same mileage range.
