Re: Meet Clifford (WARNING: lotsa pics)

So tonight, had to go pick her up from school (she is in drama club and they're doing another play...). Going down to get her on Randall Road, through the same area as the accident, everything was fine. Coming back (going north), 2 blocks north of her accident, was a fresh accident in the southbound ...

Re: Meet Clifford (WARNING: lotsa pics)

Between all the computing power and 15 different models, they can't predict whether we will get 1 inch of a foot.

Re: Meet Clifford (WARNING: lotsa pics)

Thanks man. Yours is pretty too... Yea, Susie said that we would gladly pay for a transmission 100x over. That's the first thing we said when got to the hospital was that we were thankful she was in the Suburban.

Those Coopers are pretty wore down TBH. In the pictures they look good (and the dealer ...

Re: Meet Clifford (WARNING: lotsa pics)

Thanks. She has been back to walking. She has been doing limited driving, but won't drive her car. She will take the Wife's Pacifica.

The previous owners lived not to far from the dealership in Idaho. He was big in to fishing, etc, and had a big RV. I also found he ran a boat shuttle service ...

Re: Meet Clifford (WARNING: lotsa pics)

She is my leadfoot Lucy.

In all honesty, no one around here drives speed limits. They're merely "speed suggestions". Even if you're doing 10 - 15 over, you're getting run over. Randall Road (what she was on), is a race track. On our Expressways and Tollways, it's not uncommon to be doing triple ...

Meet Clifford (WARNING: lotsa pics)

So it's been awhile again and "stuff" has happened including bringing Clifford into our world to replace my Suburban, that sacrificed it's life to save my daughter.

Step back to the morning of 9/11/2025...

My daughter's pile of junk VW Beetle (that my wife bought her and didn't tell me until she ...

Re: Inheriting mom's old car...

Typical water leaks on this car. This place has a dearth of info about it. Darcy (ddalder) is a good source on it. He made his GXP water tight IIRC.

Re: Oil Filter housing adapter

It is discontinued.

Keep in mind, Northstars are common in many other GM vehicles, so those WOULD be in boneyards. However, direct cross-reference is 2005 - 2008 DeVille/Deville DTS's.

Keep in mind, the car weighs 3,800 pounds... I am sure your 328 doesn't.

Re: How to get switchback LEDs to work

I've just quickly cycled the power switch for the light I have them on. I have switch backs in the fogs on the Caddy. A quick cycling of the fog light switch, switches them.

Re: Rear shock air issues

It uses a ride height sensor in the rear. Basically a load level switch mechanism like this;

It will then trigger a small air compressor to pump them up. There is also a schrader valve to manually pump the shocks ...

Re: 1994 Pontiac Trans Sport in Germany

Correct me if I am wrong, but that also has the Olds Silhouette lower front bumper too.

Not sure about the comment about us americans not knowing speed, 120 on my commute is a leisurely stroll down the tollway.

Re: Bonnevilles still making the news!

TBH, some of those things seem like simple and not overly expensive fixes and are common with the car. Maybe the A/C isn't.

I'd rather have this than any of those high dollar luxury gizmos.

Again, those are minor just nuisance things.

As much as I love this, I think you need to start a write up on that Trofeo. Maybe I have just missed it.

Re: Northstar question

I don't think that they're forgoing the actual gasket. They're using both to fill everything in. Gaskets are great, but can't get every nook, cranny or surface imperfection despite the best machining/manufacturing efforts. GM has had what they call "Porosity issues" when aluminum black castings (LS ...
