Re: Can't get it started

Are you sure it isn't the relay clicking? The starters don't click, they just start or don't start. This will happen if there isn't enough juice to start the car. You might not have been getting a good connection at the jump.

Also make sure the battery cables are tight. A week ago my car wasnt ...

Re: powder coating rims

Blasting the factory rim coating is no easy task. Curt Martin could tell you...he took his in to have them blasted, they called him back after they tried to do ONE...their most abrasive medium wouldn't even do it. I've used aircraft stripper to do mine before and it did the job after about 3 ...

Re: powder coating rims

Oh *dang*, I was kinda hoping for a way for me to do this myself.

Know of a way? As in something from a spray can or something. I know it sounds cheap but Im still on a small budget and to be honest it doesnt need to look 100% as good as his as long as it looks good nor does it need top be powder ...

Re: A bonnefull day

We have far too many in town here. I remember when me and my room mate went to Wendy's for lunch and I kept looking out the window to see how many Bonnevilles I could see drive by. Between walking there, the 45 mins we were there and then the walk home I counted a total of 27.

Driving around town ...

I was originally thinking about painting my crosslace rims white to match my interior and exterior but was picturing it in my head and they seemed..well, ugly.

Then I came across a pic on BonnevillePro.com and here too I think where the guy said in the post he powder coated his. I was wondering how ...

Re: now what?

You can bypass the starter solenoid by using a large screwdriver. Connect the 2 large terminals on the solenoid to see if the starter engages.

OIC so its an under the car type job, given the amount of room I will have Ill see what I can do. The parking lot is right on top of a steep hill and I ...

Do you know how to jump the connection to manual run the starter?

You should be able to find a used starter for $40-50

Looks like they are $65-75 at Autozone

Re: now what?

A whirring noise? It could be that the starter was not engaging the flywheel and now is not working at all. If you have power to the small (purple?) wire to the starter solenoid when the key is in the "crank" position, I would say it needs a starter.

Thats what I was thinking and was hoping it ...

Re: Installed 180* T-stat, problem?

Ok I have a problem. Im following the exact instructions

"Fill the radiator slowly at the cap opening with coolant. You should see and hear air bubbles disturbing the surface of the coolant in the intake manifold at the thermostat housing as they are pushed up and out of the engine."

When I took ...
