Re: Wont stay on unless foot on gas?
04 SLE 3.8
Brand new cat to as well as o2. It is running great at idle i just cannot keep it on with holding the gas.
My battery is at 10 without cranking is that low?
Absolutely no CEL's. I would think EGR would give that?
Tried running it with MAF unplugged same. IAC is new. Only TPS remains.

Wont stay on unless foot on gas?
Just did a full tune up (fuel filter seafoam plugs wires coils air filter oil) and randomly today I cannot start or keep my 3.8 running unless I have the gas pedal down. This is like 300 miles later. Car runs great it just seems as soon as I let off the TB its not getting air? I read somewhere it ...

Re: No A/C on either side?
"Are both lines going to the evaporator cold, or just one?"
Only the low pressure side is. Have not had a chance to check high pressure side yet. But does this mean there is a blockage or its not compressing since the side coming out is warm?
Both actuator doors are turning fine. From what I know ...

No A/C on either side?
Yes I have a full charge about 35psi on the low side and has held for 2 weeks so not leaking. Line is ice cold under the hood but neither side of the car is blowing any cold air. The heater control seems to be working fine as I can blow room temp air on the coldest setting and blasting heat on fully ...

Re: Whacky Coolant Guage?
You should be able to determine the actual coolant temperature from the engine data using a scan tool. The resistance of the sensor is interpreted by the Powertrain Control Module.
But if the sensor itself is faulty that would give me an incorrect reading still wouldnt it?

Re: Whacky Coolant Guage?
But will a scanner pull it from the engine coolant sensor? Just want to make sure if I get a higher reading on the scanner to!

Whacky Coolant Gauge?
Coolant gauge has always read a little over 200. In some stop and go traffic I noticed it bounce up pretty fast so I pulled over. With the car off for about a few mins I turned the key back to the on position and it shot up the 3/4 mark. After that I turned the car on and then it went back to ...

Re: P0300, P0420, P0440
No SC, plug #4 was badly oil fouled and worn so I believe the compression info.
They swapped in a new ICM to test it only and that wasnt it. Didnt believe the PCM was bad really because it finally threw me a code for 1 cylinder and it wasnt throwing anything random. Found out myself a plug was ...

Re: P0300, P0420, P0440
I was able to eliminate P0420 by replacing the sensor and it ran better. Cleared codes got random misfire again, then cyclinder 5 misfire now 1 and 2.. Took it to be checked out and was told the PCM is shot. They replaced the ICM with a new one to test it and its still missing all over like crazy ...

Re: P0300, P0420, P0440
They told me the plug was fouled, and that the rings are bad. Im just wondering if its worth it at 122k miles.

P0300, P0420, P0440
Long story short a family members car failed inspection so I ended up with it. Have a random misfire P0300 and the back upstream o2 sensor throwing P0420. The gas cap P0440 is pretty self explanatory so saving that for last I dont see that being related at all.
