I unplugged the MAF and it's somewhat better, but not all the way. It does start, but needs several revolutions to fire. I did notice before I unplugged the MAF, that if I turned the ignition on and wait about 30-45 seconds before cranking, that the engine turns over faster and starts quicker too ...

Well, here's an update on this hard starting issue. New plugs and wires with no appreciable improvement. Someone has suggested that it might be a security issue with the key not being recognized. No codes are showing with a code checker. I have noticed that sometimes the security warning light is on ...

The fuel pressure is good as is the volume of fuel. Both were tested and are good. Next?

I have 2000 SSEI with 207,000 miles. When the engine is cold, it takes a couple tries to get it started. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator with no improvement. If I re-start it when the engine is still warm, no problem. Runs like a champ! But any time period longer than 60 minutes since I shut ...
