Re: My suspension evolution

Am I correct??

just as long at i swap the strut tower bracket to be able bolt up into the strut tower.

Hoods

I have been looking, is there still basically no options for a WS6 style ram air hood for our cars?

Re: Engine bay clean up and wire tucking

Yeah those headers took up about 4hrs of time one night. Fennel with a flap wheel to cut through the b/so them all by hand after. 400, 800, 1500 then 2000 then a few different polishes to achieve what you see. It's going to blue out almost immediately but oh well

Re: Engine bay clean up and wire tucking

I'm loving the polished master brake cylinder. I have a low mileage spare I might take some time on. I'm going to polish my a/c lines and dryer since I have low mileage extras that are going on with the swap. The alternator bracket, *shoot* man that's a lot of work. How'd you get it that far? I'm no ...

Thank you, it's taken quite a bit of care to get it where is at now. With how much it gets driven this cat had been apart more times than a race car. I got it 10 years ago with 72k miles on it. Clock just turned 344k.

Re: Engine bay clean up and wire tucking

I made the decision of going series 3 upper plenum. With the miles I put on the Ole girl I go through intakes like water. Lucky for me a friend of mine up north is sending me all the valve train upper and lower intake 40k timing set and a zzp throttle body adapter for $100 bucks + shipping. So I'm ...

Engine bay clean up and wire tucking

Hello all, wanting to see what anyone has done to their bonnies or 88s. I will be tearing Ole faithful apart fairly soon for a replacement torque converter and at a current 344k miles she's getting a hearty transplant. New engine and trans and rack. I'm going to go the extra mile and make her really ...

Re: misfire issue

Problem fixed, finally with chasing this completely random odd stumble with replacing my crap aftermarket "airtex" fuel pump with a gm spec delphi unit I uncovered a fuel leak, replaced my injectors with 40k mile injectors and a brand new fuel rail and regulator. After this my car had a terrible ...

Re: we got the 99 SSE

Thanks for the info! I replaced the upper intake manifold with the newer modified versions. Also did the LIM gaskets. Ported and polished the LIM based on info in this forum. I store it in the winter and only put a little over 1K miles on it in the summer. I have thought about selling it, but it is ...

Re: we got the 99 SSE

Congrats brother, yeah my 98 lss stickered at 33k in 98. I swapped bonnie 12 ways into mine awhile back I use Voodoo leather reconditioning stuff. I'll use a half a bottle per application I'm not stingy I'll goop it on let it soak for about 20min and buff it off. It really does the trick softening ...

Re: '98 Bonneville R152a conversion

Is the cooling Temps a big enough difference to constitute a change from 134? A/c in my olds is cold but could definitely be a lot colder versus my other vehicles. I might be not so mad about the under powered blower motor if the air itself was colder. It's great at speed and even at idle but is a ...

Re: Best cold box ideas

My favorite has always been the FWI route. Usually it's a matter of relocating the evap canister, and then routing the FWI through that hole.
I do like that idea a lot, but water worries me because unset moderate rain with my Sri it gets up in the engine bay and causing poor running conditions ...
