Re: 2003 SSEI Aftermarket Stereo Help

Confirmed that you need to cut pin A6, not A3 on the GMOS-09 for monsoon amp power-on. Radio is now working with sound output. I have my PAC SWI-RC steering wheel control module wired in and powering up, but they don't have a "radio code" for Boss Audio. I called Boss and they thought using Pioneer ...

Re: 2003 SSEI Aftermarket Stereo Help

I have to delay the testing until tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

If anyone has suggestions on how they attached the radio install kit to the dash, would love to hear them.

Re: 2003 SSEI Aftermarket Stereo Help

2nd Update for those reading along at home, found this thread: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/audio-and-aftermarket-electronics/topic11842.html

Looks like Axxess doesn't understand the remote wire between the various radios. The conclusion for anyone WITH monsoon using the GMOS-09 is ...

Re: 2003 SSEI Aftermarket Stereo Help

UPDATE: Decided to check all the fuses and found two that were blown. Radio powers on, but I get no audio. I'm assuming that this has to do with the amp turn-on cable. I'm researching, but if anyone remembers specifics, feel free to reply :)

2003 SSEI Aftermarket Stereo Help

Hey folks,

I'm working through an install of a BOSS Audio BE8ACP with a GMOS-09 adapter. I'm working on translating what the dock'n'lock provides versus what the GMOS-09 provides to make sure I'm wiring things up correctly. The wiring from the GMOS-09 seemed to match up pretty well with the BE8ACP ...

Re: Driver's Side Power Seat Not working

So after this thread, I picked up new control modules and wiring harness for the drivers side from Harofreak. My heated seats and power seats worked for a while. Now they don’t yet again. Is there a connection between drivers side electrical issues and a moon roof leak or drainage problem? Trying to ...

Remote Start in 2003 SSEI?

Hey guys,

I've been looking at installing a remote start for my 2003 SSEI. It seems like the combination of an idatalink ALCA ( link here ) along with just about any remote start system, especially the Compustar systems, is a really easy install that retains all of the factory functionality.

When ...

Anyone tried this?

Has anyone thought of taking the two speaker level outputs for the rear 6x9s in a SSEI w/ Monsoon and feeding them into a dual voice coil 8" or 10"

Anyone on the scientific side of audio have any opinions as to whether this would enhance bass at all?

Re: Finally added Aux-In to my 03 SSEi

For anyone interested, I did this on my 2003 SSEi last weekend. I put the AUX port into the panel below the radio, to the left of the Driver's Seat Heater switch using this part .

I bought shielded headphone cable for the connection to protect from interference and rather than running the cable ...

2003 SSEI Part Number Help!

Hey guys,

I'm trying to fix my driver's side powered seat. It intermittently works and appears to be a bad connection somewhere. I've pulled the seat memory module and both harnesses connected to that and pinned out all of the cables and it appears to be fine, however once I plug everything back up ...

Re: 2003 SSEI - Rear Defrost

That is correct. There should be a purple and black on the left side and black on the right. What voltage do you measure at the solder connections? Sometimes the pad has been known to separate from the glass. You can give them a gentle tug but I wouldn't pull exceptionally hard.

I tested from the ...

Re: 2003 SSEI - Rear Defrost

Correct, none of the lines appear to work.

Is anyone able to pull their C-pillars and snap some pictures of the connections on both sides? I'm trying to figure out if something is missing...I see two solder points on the right and only a single on the left.

Edit: I was able to find this parts ...

Re: 2003 SSEI - Rear Defrost

No Tint.

I'm reading up on how to do resistance testing on a defrosting grid. I guess you have to go through and test each line in the grid to find the gap. They make kits to repair it, this one for example.

I'll let you know how it goes...

Re: 2003 SSEI - Rear Defrost

8 months later...

I finally got around to doing some testing.

-The 40A fuse in position 61 is good.
-The relay clicks on when I turn on the rear defrost.
-Just for fun, I did some testing with a multimeter. I'm getting continuity from the positive battery terminal to the fuse, from the fuse to the ...

Re: Driver's Side Power Seat Not working

So, it magically started working the other day, until I moved the seat too far forward then it stopped. This tells me that there is likely a short or bad connection somewhere that is disabling the seat controls. Are there any connections that are prone to shorting with movement too far forward?

Re: Driver's Side Power Seat Not working

Ah good idea, and since the passenger side doesn't have memory, that fuse being blown would only affect the driver's side. Will check it out tomorrow and post back.

Re: Driver's Side Power Seat Not working

Sorry that I wasn't more clear. I am on the path to fixing the heated seats and I know where I stand with that.

I was looking for guidance about the power seat functions more so than the heat. The driver's side does not function at all, however the passenger's side works just great. This would tell ...
