Re: Click when stopping, can't find a source.....
Exact thing happened to my moms GXP. The noise would occur at exactly 14 then 13mph when slowing. The dealer originally thought it was bad brakes. They put new front pads and rotors on. I left the dealer and heard the noise, turned around and went back. Took a tech and the service writer on a drive ...

Re: Failed Inspection
We took the car back to the dealer on Wednesday. They kept it for two days. The service writer told me they took one of the injectors out and let it soak overnight with hopes to "clean it up" They also put a new coil pack on. Car runs great now and the best thing is that they didnt charge for the ...

Re: Failed Inspection
We got the car back last night. The did the 30k mile service and replaced the back motor mount. They said it didn't fail from the transmission work last year. Also, we were told there was carbon buildup on the throttle body and thats why it was idling rough. I keep telling my mom that this is a ...

Re: Failed Inspection
In December 2008 i brought the car into the dealership to have the intermediate shaft looked at (the car is on number 4 now) Since the warranty was expiring in Jan 09, i wanted in it to have everything looked out. The car would make a click at exactly 14 then 13 mph when slowing down. I thought i ...

Failed Inspection
My mom took her car through NJ State inspection today and they failed the bonnie for having bad motor mounts. I dont know how they determine this (they check the lights, horn, wipers, brakes, suspension and emmissions) The car has just under 36k miles and she is the original owner and does not beat ...

Re: Worth buying GXP Bonneville?
My mom likes her 05 GXP, but really loved her 95 SLE. The GXP is a great looking car, but it is thirsty and i dont find the seats to be very comfortable. I have a GP GXP and for me the font seats are much much better. It also gets a few more mpg on the highway and feels more solid than the bonnie. I ...

Re: Help!! My car has a misfire in it.
My moms 05 GXP has been having a similar problem the last few days. Sometimes it runs smooth, sometimes not. I checked and there are no codes and no pending codes. I may take a look at the plugs etc. The car has just over 35k on it.

Re: Clicking noise.
I will only went to the dealer since it was under warranty. I do 95% of all things myself. I do this because I like to work on my own car and its good experience and its usually much cheaper and I trust my work more than I trust someone else, not to mention the car overall.

Re: Clicking noise.
So finally got the car back yesterday after 32 days. They first replaced the accumulator and when that didn't work, they had to completly rebuild the trans. I drove it home last night and everything feels great and tight. Even the steering wheel feels tight. Hopefully this fix will last the life of ...

Re: Clicking noise.
Called the dealer again today. Was told that they ordered a part (an accumulator) and its on national backorder. The service manager said that since my car is out of order we have top priority on the part. Put about 1200 miles on the rental in the last 15 days and just today the check engine light ...

Re: Clicking noise.
I dropped the car off last monday for a 2 day repair. By wednesday I finally called them and was told they were still diagnosing the car. I called again yesterday and got the same response and was told I will get a definite answer by tomorrow. I thought they found the problem when I brought it in 3 ...

Re: Clicking noise.
So the dealership finally found the source of the noise. They said its the transmission. When the car slows down to 14mph it shifts into first. They want to tear into the transmission and they believe that the valve body is not working correctly, although the service manager and myself both say the ...

Re: Clear Corners
I did mine when the car was just over a year old and the rubber was still soft, so I didn't need to put them in the oven, and no moisture in them.

Clicking noise.
This is kinda long, sorry in advance.
So the bonnie has just under 28k on it and the warranty runs out 1/6/09 or 40k miles (We bought it as a demo 1/6/06 with around 4k miles) The car is on IS number 3. Back in the spring I noticed a clicking noise when braking at exactly 14 then 13 mph. Finally in ...

Re: Clear Corners
The clear corners are pretty easy. You just need to seperate the front of the light from the back slowly. Then once the lights are in two parts, just take the reflector out. Then put the light back together and back in the car. This was the second mod to the bonnie.
