Put a new or verified fully charged battery in. As long as it's connected properly it should start fine. If your lights dim or the car dies then look at the alternator.

When it comes to leaks you really have to bite the bullet and pull the interior. Once it's out you can dry it and find the leaks easier.

Second on the Pics. I just bought a Red 94 SSEI for parts but it turned out to be a runner.

I just finished stripping out my 92 to fix the headliner and all the leaks. It's pretty satisfying once it's all done. I'll be following you progress. Good luck!
