Re: 97 SSEi stalling
There was also a check engine light on so I went and had I checked. It came up as an ISS and I did not know if an ISS sensor could cause stalling or not, now I do.

Re: 97 SSEi stalling
I had Autozone run the code and it came up as
-Failed input speed sensor
-open or short circuit condition
-corroded or moisture in connector.
I asked the clerk to look on up for me and he said they couldn't get one. Has anybody ever had this happen to them. Also could this cause my stalling issue?

Re: 97 SSEi stalling
[quote="mylittleblackbird"]After it stalled out, did you turn the key off and back on right away? If so, did you notice if the fuel pump primed at the key on position?
-No I didn't turn the key until I came to a stop and I didn't notice the fuel pump making any noise. Although a few days ago I ...

97 SSEi stalling
My recently purchased 97 SSEi stalled on the way to work today. The PO had informed me that this happens occasionally and it will start up after you wait a few minutes which it did. I think it was electrical because when it died a voltage warning light came on in the dash. The battery and alternator ...

Re: SSEI adivce!
After my test drive I didn't feel anything out of order, so I went made an offer and now she's all mine. I did find out that the guy I bought it from had owned the car for the last 200,000 miles and he never did anything to the transmission. So I think I should probably start looking for a rebuilt ...

Re: SSEI adivce!
That was my impression when I saw how clean the car was. It really told me that he took good care of his stuff. Also he said the alternator, fuel lines, intake gasket and bunch of other things had been replaced recently. I will give it a drive and check out the things you mentioned, thanks.

Re: SSEI adivce!
Actually that was the only thing that he didn't mention. I will ask him about the transmission when I take it for a test drive.

SSEI adivce!
Hello, I looked at 97 SSEI tonight and It was very nice. The owner went over everything with me. All the repairs he had done the very few issues it has. The engine bay was the cleanest I have ever seen overall the car was excellent. My only concern was the mileage, it is 250,000 miles. I know the 3 ...
