Basically you need a new oil pressure sending unit. Not expensive, about $30 and available at AutoZone, O'Reilly's, Advance Auto Parts, Carquest....pretty much anyone.
I entered your car info in your profile on www.rockauto.com and came up with this unit: These are good and I beleive the brand I ...

Re: Cascade dishwasher detergent to clean out radiator?
I am going to go ahead and buy a new one. I looked at it yesterday after getting some coolant out and it was worse than I thought. The scale is quite bad. Once the new one is in, it will get distilled water for sure and the Havoline / Dexcool 50-50 mix.

Re: Cascade dishwasher detergent to clean out radiator?
After more online research, it seems Cascade is great for getting oily mess out of a radiator/ cooling system but not good on scale anymore. The chemical that use to work on scale as well, was Phosphate which they no longer put in Cascade.

Cascade dishwasher detergent to clean out radiator?
I got up today and decided to check online reviews for radiator cleaning chemicals made by Prestone, Gunk, etc. before buying some to clean my radiator, which looks scaly even though I've had it back-flushed and new coolant installed.

Re: USA made radiator needed
I saw that one on Rockauto and for that price I hope its USA made. I was still trying to hear other comments; people that possibly bought brand X and they had good results/ knew it was American made.
I thought surely there would be a drop-in made without all the customization described.

USA made radiator needed
I need to replace the radiator in my 03 Bonneville SE, normally aspirated. Can anyone recommend a USA made radiator? Not wanting to put another made in China part on my car if I can afford not to.

Re: Exhaust ideas for 3800 N/A ?
Yes, sort of...to have dual tips out the back you need a Y-pipe transition. Summit sells them from Magnaflow but they are $73.73, so I've been looking for a cheaper version. Summit part number.... mpe-10734
I'll try and get some pics in the next few days.

2nd the opinion of the ZZ Performance downpipe being a good addition. Try a hi-flow, OBD-II compliant, catalytic converter in conjunction with downpipe.

Can you recommend any good handheld OBDII readers, or scan gauges, capable of seeing the engine temps, etc. ?
Inexpensive is always best, but good.
Do I need one I can/ have to update for troublecodes, etc?

Dannyg420: I have the same year and model as you. Take my advice and get a ZZ Perf downpipe and a hi-flow catalytic converter form this company as they are cheap BUT legal and OBD-II compatible. Get the one they offer for H bodies. It is 3" but comes down to 2.5" at the backside, so it's super easy ...

Re: ZZP Air intake
I've not understood why K & N or Volant, Air Raid, or another bigger cold air box maker has not made more that fit his and my Pontiac? There are at least hundreds of thousands, if not millions on the road, surely that's enough to warrant them building a cold air box? I had an impossible time finding ...

Re: Signs of water pump going out?
The 180 thermostat is as low as I want to go. I learned last night from another poster on here that the gauges in these are cars are programmed/set to read around 200 degrees. So if I have an air problem (OR NOT), it's good to read 200-ish under normal operating conditions. I was under the ...

Take and few more days and think on it...don't get in a rush as I did. There is a guy on here who sells used parts. A complete new airbox for my 03 is only $35 shipped, so they are available if you gut yours and want to have a stocker for a future sale, etc.

Re: ZZP Air intake
I bought one of the FWI systems from Intense just a few weeks ago. Today I took it off my car and sent it back for a refund. It was louder than I like. For $179 I felt the funds could go to other performance mods. However, it seemed to help (some), but in my opinion not $179 worth!

Trinity: Thermostat was drilled with 2 small holes. I did that when I took out the original 195 stat. I use to do this on all my thermostats in case they ever got stuck, and to let an air out.....slowly!

Re: Signs of water pump going out?
Yes, I am using the factory gauge. I thought with my aftermarket PCM which sets the fans to come on at 185, the gauge should be lower than the 200 it sits on.
