Thank you Archon
I'll have to do that next. I've since found that if I quickly cycle from off to start it will respond, if not on the first cycle then by the third or fourth cycle. I know this is only a temporary situation, so the scanner is next before I really wear out the ignition switch or ...

Re: security theft system light
I see it's been a year since the last post, and I've read every post I could find with relevant symptoms and car year. But I've noticed some minor differences. I will look more closely for the indicator lamp, but I'm pretty sure all I get for a warning is the 'service theft system' on the DIC ...

Re: LED instrument panel lights? naybody done this? Possible
I'm curious about doing this as well on my '02. Color might be a consideration, but the top of my speedo is not lit , nor is the clock side of the radio and a growing number of buttons, including the steering wheel. So, I'm looking for durability too. Come to think of it, can anything be done to ...

Re: supercharger boost gauge red line whenever i touch the g
This was informative. I might have something similar based on symptoms. On cold startup, serious rattling, liek a heat shield is being tossed off, but it subsides when engine settles. I believe that the ignition module is bad because it has had a tough time not fluttering on load up a hill on the ...

Thinking I'd like a longer range too...
Any thoughts on the rest of my OP?
Update to my OP: Looks like I need to PM the ignition system, surging while on cruise control too...

Re: Did Bonnevilles ever come with OEM remote start?
Thanks guys! My first bonnie, an 89 se, had a bulldog RS, I installed it myself, but I'm not so confident on installing it on a 2002 with dual memory, though if instructions are clear, no problem.

Re: The fate of our Bonnevilles...
There are always going to be cars that are 'better' in one way or another. the Bonnies are a solid mix of performance and luxury. BMW earns its oooh/ahh factor through its exclusivity, which usually comes down to operating/purchasing/insuring costs. But, it may be worth the price, if you can swing ...

Re: Bonnevilles on 84s & vogues?
The paint and the perfection is amazing. Do the wheels make a lot of wind noise at highway speeds? Are there any problems with them sticking out that far? I could imagine driving very slowly through a crowd... The price of the wheels is also amazing, but I'm not really surprised. That your brother ...

Did Bonnevilles ever come with OEM remote start?
A friend of mine has an 04 GP GXP with factory fob. I'm wondering if a module can be added from the GP to the Bonnie (02 SSEi) for this feature. I have considered android app controlled RS/KE/A systems, but I would really prefer to keep the 2 person seat memory function.

Welcome! Car looks great! Owatonna isn't but an hour from where I live.
Thanks! If that's your car in the pics, its pretty awesome! Bonita is neat too. I was considering calling mine the white knight or white lightning. The car is simply awesome for 185k. I want to keep it that way and maybe have ...

Very nice. They make bluetooth modules that replace your on-star, but they're not cheap.
IIRC Viper makes a remote start that you can use your phone on, not sure of all the features tho.
Browerville is about 3 hours NW of the cities, lol.

Re: 5th Bonnie, new 02SSEi from Minnesota
Hi & WELCOME!!
Where in MN are you?
For the lights in the dash you might want to check in with Andrew (Harofreak00 -Browerville, MN) as he's repaired numerous of these -I'm not sure if he repairs the steering wheel controls, but I bet he has good replacements for those as well.
Awesome! Thank ...

I think you'll be much happier with the SSEi than you would've been with a GXP.

5th Bonnie, new 02SSEi from Minnesota
Real short:
have owned 2 89-90 SE's, and 3 89-91 SSE's. Been 5 LOOONG years without a Bonnie and now I got a good one! Was a toss up between the GXP and the SSEi, but I like the styling of the SSEi a little better, and the cost made the purchase possible. For 184k, this one drives like silk, but in ...
