I didn't take it to a shop. I went to have an alarm installed and they found it during that process.

A mileage stopper under the hood? Not so sure about that one, your speedometer would probably not work either I would think.

As for the issues, we have all been through them, my 03 has been a nightmare. Most of them are relatively easy fixes though and with help from us you can likely do most of ...
