The foggy appearance on the 00+ headlights is partly due to the heat on the inside of the lens (or so I've read), but most I think is due to the plastic becoming sandblasted on the highway after several years of driving.

My headlights were in horrible shape on the outisde. I took 800 grit sandpaper to my headlights, then worked my way up to 2000 grit. I then used Meguiar's PlastX to polish the scratches out.

They looked AMAZING afterwards. Night and day difference.

Well....I didn't take any pics when I did it, but I have pics of my car the day after I bought it, and I've taken pics since I 'fixed' the lights....I'm not sure how much difference you can see in pics though. But, I'll search and see what I find.

I did the same thing with mine, Just be very careful it you use a buffer that you don't heat them up or they will melt rather quickly. All I have are after photos but you could barely see through them when I started:

Do the same thing to the fogs, you'll get the same results.
