So I'm in the market for a late model Bonnie, but I'd rather not worry about weather tha previous owner was a boy racer wannabe, so the blower is not a big thing for me. Plus I ride a streetbike, so I have all the speed I'd ever need (plus 45mpg). However, I NEED HUD. I've been missing it for the last three years and after driving an '01 SSEi, I'm addicted all over again.

So was HUD an option on SLE models? Too bad they discontinued the SSE. That's perfect. :???:

I don't think so, my dad's 03 business car doesn't have it but has everything else, so i think you are out of luck

I don't know this for sure, but I believe the HUD's were an option in 2003. Some GXP's have them, so I don't think they canned the HUD until they canned the Bonneville all together.

These cars can take an amazing amount of abuse. As long as maintenance has been performed, and the motor has not been seriously modified, 150,000-200,000 miles is normal.

Transmission, yes that will be worn out if its been abused. Even if it was not abused you can still have transmission problems though.

Well I know the motor can handle just about anything, but like you said, the trans can't take as much abuse as the engine.

Can anyone direct me to a list of available options on all three trim levels? I haven't kept up with the Bonnies since the body change.

Thanks!

Now I have another question Not regarding HUD, but whatever. On my 92 SSE, I had 9 way power seats with moron proof switches with pictures on 'em. On the '01 SSEi I drove yesterday, I couldn't figure out how to operate the bladders in the back, and I found no controls for adjustable bolsters. Were the bolsters adjustable or no? And how many of the seatback panels have adjustment? I saw in the pic of the options list that the SSEi had standard 12 ways, so I would expect all the adjustability of my old 92, but like I said, I couldn't quite figure it out.

Then again, I was too busy looking at all the problems that car had to play with the seats too much.

That is so stale!! When I get one I'll have to mod the driver's seat to hug me like I had my old one set up.

That really stinks. Why!!?? I'm actually pretty ticked about that. Stupid. :angry7: :angry4: :eek2: :bluetwitch: :sad5:  :angry2: :bsmack: #-o :brant:
