Year and Trim: 2000 SLE
I joined up here when I bought a '02 SSEI... it ended up being a basket case & I sold it for a loss.

Looking for a good highway commuter to replace my gas guzzling
Landcruiser...I found a gem.

The ad popped up locally for a 2000 Bonneville SLE. One owner with 31k miles in great condition.

The original owner bought the car in his early 60s. He just recently suffered a stroke & had a low prognosis of driving again.

I received a pile of maintenance paper work with the car. Fortunately for me, he drove the car frequently ranging between 800-1400 miles every single year. Assuming lots of short trips but better than it having sat for a decade.

I didn't find any paperwork for the lower intake manifold & I could see oil externally leaking from it. No sign of oil/coolant mixing that I could see but I tore into it immediately.
I am going to have it complete this evening... replaced quite a few gaskets > LIM, UIM, valve covers, & throttle body.
While I had it apart I also replaced the water pump, coolant elbows, & thermostat...

I bought the full dealer service manual for this year/model.

I am so excited to start driving this thing... biggest issue that I see is that I was looking for a year round driver & this SLE seems way to nice to drive through the Nebraska winters.

It has the rpo code N93 17" cross lace aluminum wheels... as best as I can tell so far, those may have been a Bonneville only option for 2000-2001?

I would have a hard time driving that in the winter too. Sounds like it must ride and look new. Nice work. Post some pics when you can.

I don't remember seeing many 00+ with crosslaces and I definitely didn't know it was a factory option for those years.
