Used the wagon for wagon things, fits the gto seats nicely so I can do something cool with them....which I'll put in another thread once I get that done.

Not gonna lie, I really wish my E39 was a wagon the other day.. I went to ship a wheel well and about 25% of the box fit in the trunk.. Luckily It barely fit through the back door into the back seat.

A bit off topic, but this brought back a memory from a long time ago. Watched a guy try to stuff a gigantic flat screen TV into a Neon at a Sam's Club parking lot. He tried the trunk, the back seat, the front seat...everywhere and every which way. It lacked a solid 6" from fitting in that car no matter what he tried. He even took it out of the box and couldn't get it in there. Wife & I cracked up as we watched his frustration level slowly rise and culminate at critical mass when he yelled "FKER" at his purchase at the top of his lungs. I'm sure you had to be there to understand, but it was hilarious...I'm crackin' up just thinking about it.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread pertaining to Audi wagons and Ryan's recovering his GTO seats in furry cowhide. :poke:

So.. rabbit hole a little bit farther.. I bought a TV when I was in VA for work with my i30. I checked the shipping dimensions and it was 1" too wide to fit in my back seat. I bought it anyway and sure enough it didn't fit. I went to my backup plan of popping off my one door panel and I was good to go.

There was a time I had to transport a ladder with the old passat. I stuck it out the sunroof.

You makin' office chairs out of it? I've been wanting to do that for awhile, but everyone wants a fortune for GTO seats.

I took this thing on its first long trip this past week and it did pretty good. I was lucky to get tickets for Cleetus McFarland's Freedom 500 and Cleetus and cars at his racetrack in Bradenton Florida. That's 1250 miles from home. On the way back I made a couple detours to Daytona beach and tail of the dragon.
