Hey all, I've searched the internet, but cant figure out how to fix this problem at all. So I'm turning to you all for some advice/guidance. 2002 Bonneville, keeps setting a P0336 code, crankshaft position sensor. It does this intermittently, and never when it's at my mechanics. I've replaced everything but the harmonic balancer, still does it. I'm totally lost here, can anyone give me a direction or idea where to go from here? Thanks in advance

There are teeth on the back of the HB that the crank sensor reads. If there is damage there or its installed incorrectly you will have issues. You said you've replaced everything except the HB, so what have you all replaced? The CPS and....?

If it does it intermittently, its probably a wiring issue. I would check for damage to that small harness that controls the ignition (Crank sensor, cam sensor, ICM)

If it's similar to an older 3800, the harness running down to the crank sensor is tucked into some nooks that tend to wear through the loom and insulation. Seen it a few times.
