Hi guys, I have searched and can not find a dedicated thread write up to upgrade to the brembo/cts-v brakes. I have an 03 Aurora and was going to upgrade to the 12.7" rotors and aluminum calipers like are on the gxp/sts/srx/cts 3.6 however I have seen yourgrandma's ride and I really like how those brakes look. Just need to know what is needed for the caliper fitment/installation. Thanks

The Bonneville GXP, STS, SRX and CTS do not use Brembo's. Most of these (for sure the Bonneville GXP), use PBR calipers.

Corvette's, CTS-V, STS-V, XLR-V, G8 GXP, SS, and several newer model Camaro's, use the two-piece Brembo 4 piston setup.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a pic of my Bonneville GXP's caliper (I switch from photobucket and didn't to imgur and didn't take every image), but here is a picture of my rear Brembo's on my V. The front looks the same, just bigger (both caliper and rotor)

Once we determine which setup you're asking about, more info can be given.

Thanks for the reply, my post kind of rambles on but up there it says that I *was* going to upgrade to the 12.7" *until* I happened to see yourgrandma's ride. I would at least like to do the CTS-V's up front, just needed to know if he used any special spacer or bracket to make em work. It looks like he used rotors for a 07-09 GT500 & calipers for the 04-07 CTS-V. I have the long SS goodrich brake lines being shipped to me now and I have the smaller caliper bolts & sleeve/bushing being shipped to me from McMasters.

Yes, you will need GenI CTS-V/STS-V/XLR-V/G8 GXP/SS... Front calipers. They are a two-piece, 4 piston unit.

Newer versions on Corvette's, GenII+ CTS-V's are a single piece (hence you'll hear the name "monoblock"), 6-piston setup. I don't think I've seen anyone adapt them to any FWD H or W cars.

Yes, you will need a custom bracket to convert them.

Hope that helps? The calipers bolt up, as far as I can tell?
