Snap on MT2500 (1999 cartrige) Scan tool show 1626 (Anti Theft system fuel enable ckt) Error and some times TPS error. Replaced TPS still will not run smoothly. 3.8 Series 2 engine in Bonne SE 2000. Key on, fuel pump runs, fuel rail fills, gauges activate. Start mode, engine runs erratically, tach up and down, gas gauge goes to E and Oil pressure gauge goes to 0. service engine light comes on and blinks, service vehicle light comes on, security light comes on (sometimes). Some times it settles in, oil pressure come up, alt. goes to charge and gas gauge returns.. Scan tool shows code 1626 Anti theft system fuel enable ckt.
again after DTC being cleared. Changed ICM because I could, no missfires on scanner.
Any sugestions? Is this a BCM, PCM, PASS sensor issue?

Could be a bad PCM with that many errors happening, it could very well be you have a worn out ignition switch as well. Try manipulating the key when you are seeing everything happening. Might not be able to do much , but you might find that you have enough play that the contacts are intermittent.

some info....
https://www.engine-codes.com/p1626_chevrolet.html

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The control module communicates with other modules using the Class 2 Serial Data circuit. The vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) body control module (BCM) sends a vehicle security password to the powertrain control module (PCM), via the Class 2 Serial Data circuit, after the BCM has sensed the proper operation of the ignition switch and lock, and determined that the switch and lock have not been tampered with. If this password matches the password stored in the PCM, fuel will be enabled. If the BCM does not send a password, or if the PCM does not receive it, the vehicle will not start, or it may start and stall. This will set a DTC P1626 in the PCM memory. If communication is lost after receiving the password, the VTD Passlock system will go into Fail Enable, set a U1192 in the PCM memory, and the engine will continue to run. This will allow the engine to restart on future ignition cycles but may set a DTC P1626 as the engine is started. If the battery is disconnected or the codes are cleared, the vehicle will lose its Fail Enable status and will not start until communication is re-established.

Thanks, Battery was out for 2 hrs (had to take it for a charge since in erratic run mod alt. is not charging).
Tried it today with spare key, (not the first time for this key), and it started, idle reset to 800, drove for 10 minutes to see
performance, get to temp, and charge the battery ( all gauges returned to normal during this). Went back 15 min. later same old erratic run, gauges oil and fuel to 0. Thinking of pulling the ignition switch module, anybody got instructions? Also where are
the BCM and PCM?
