Your cat cleans itself with heat, and for the most part, there is no such thing as mechanic in a can. If your car is tuned up, leave it alone. No additives are needed.

If only you could pour things into your car that magically fixed every little thing.

Chevron Techron or Gumout Regane or Amsoil PI or Redline SI-1 are proven to clean dirty fuel systems/engines without leaving anything behind. They all reek of stinky fish from the amines, and cost $5-10 a bottle.

I'm also a firm believer in Marvel Mystery Oil for both cleaning lightly sludged engines and keeping fuel systems clean. It's not just me, other folks have reported the same results.

Learn from the mistakes of others, that way when you mess up you can do so in new and interesting ways.

I've never torn down a 3800 that looked like it needed internal cleaning. Every single one was clean as a whistle.

I run a bottle of Lucas fuel system cleaner through every oil change or so , for the injectors and fuel pump.
After a bottle through my gxp i noticed a bit of a difference , not much though.

There's no need to run any additive in your fuel. Modern fuels already have them.

My OEM pump lasted over 15 years, and my Walbro is still going strong. My injectors (when they were pulled to be upgraded) still flowed within 1% of each other at the factory spec or slightly above, and I've never run any additive whatsoever. I tested my injectors personally at FIE when they were pulled, and ran my new larger injectors before install. Out of our entire pool of 3800 injectors (L27, both L67's, L36), I've only ever seen ONE that was sticky and had to be cleaned to free it up, and it had sat around on the shelf for a year after sitting god knows how long in a wrecker motor. This is HUNDREDS of injectors sampled.

Anyone that uses it as often as you is wasting their money. If it gives you peace of mind, go once a year MAXIMUM.
