The easiest way to go about this is a complete powertrain dropout, meaning drop the subframe and EVERYTHING attached to it. All wiring, computer, transmission, axles, etc. You'll have to identify what parts will work with the swap and which ones you'll have to salvage from the Transport. I doubt you'll find a step-by-step tutorial, you'll need to have the knowledge to understand what you're doing, especially with the wiring.

SC will not bolt in place, heads and LIM are completely different.

I'm not going to try to mix the two engines to build one...I'm just going with a SC3800 donor in good
shape.....
what year should I be looking for...?
What series I II III....??
I will do a complete engine swap..... now the SC3800 should bolt up to my cradle
my transmission.......
?
Since I started as a NA3800....mounts should be the same...??
Transmission is same...??
Mine is a 1992 4spd Auto.....
now what about the harnesses...?? And CPU...?
What's different on the SC3800 harness...??
Maybe I should have worded it better.....
Thank you again......

You have a Naturally Aspirated Series 1 3800 or L27
The NA Series 2 3800 is an L36
The NA Series 3 3800 is an L26 with a drive by wire throttle body
There are 4 version of the Supercharged 3800, all increasing with power.
92-93 Series 1 L67 with Gen II M62 supercharger
94-95 Series 1 L67 with Gen III M62 supercharger
96-04 Series 2 L67 with Gen III M90 supercharger
04+ Series 3 L32 with Gen V M90 supercharger with a drive by wire throttle body

92-97 L27/L36s came with 4t60-e transmissions (line pressure controlled via vacuum)
98+ L36/L26s came with 4t65-e (line pressure controlled electronically)
92-96 L67s came with 4t60-hd transmissions (line pressure controlled via vacuum)
97+ L67 and L32s came with a 4t65-hd transmissions (line pressure controlled electronically)

A PCM that came on a 4t60 can't control a 4t65 transmission and vice versa.

The best option is likely a 97+ L67/Trans/wiring harness/PCM. You'll need wiring diagrams from your 92 and whatever donor car the powertrain came out of. You can do a Gen V M90 swap (with a tune of course) from there. A full L32 swap will take more work with the electronic pedal/throttle body and whatever else that PCM needs to be happy.

If you have access to a 92-93 L67/4t60-hd/wiring harness/PCM and you can confirm that the PCM is the same, you may be able to do that particular swap with very little wiring and it would be a matter of just swapping PCMs.

One other person documented a L26/L36 Transport swap although it was in a '95. All the pictures are gone but there is valuable information on what was done with the accessory drive, mounts etc.

Everything above, searching Jrs3800's posts on his van and searching for everything else on your own will give you everything you need if you're capable of the swap.
