My '05 Bonneville needs tires. Looks like I might be able to use a set of wheels I have from my 1996 Z51 Corvette, they will require adaptors. The Vette wheels and tires are 17X9.5 with 51mm backspace and 275/40-17's. For some reason, that size tire is available cheap. The outside diameter is within 5mm. Has anyone ever tried this? Thanks, Ken

The factory wheel on an SE is a 16X7 I think with a really high offset. You will most likely rub with those wheels rather intensely. lol If you do put them on though, definitely post a photo!

The bolt pattern is different too.
Bonneville = 115mm
Corvette = 120.7mm

Looks like you would have to have the wheels redrilled since I doubt there's enough room for adapters. This would probably offset the price difference in tires. That's provided there's room for 275s all the way around. It's also a 40mm difference in diameter.
