Year and Trim: 2000 buick lesabre custom
I have an opportunity to buy a 2000 SSEI supercharged Bonney. It has quite a bit of rust issues etc. I was thinking of swapping the supercharged engine/transmission combo into the lesabre. From what I've been looking on the internet, there are some other things that I will need to complete the swap, ie CV axles, etc. I can get the whole car and it runs beautifully. Some people recommend to swap the PCM's ,and some people say to get the Lesabre reprogrammed. I think my biggest concern would be the GM security(VATS). I'm looking for the simplest way to do this. This type of swap doesn't seem to be very common, and so many people give their opinions, but have never completed this project. If you have good info to share, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Is there anything wrong with your LeSabre's motor? You can always top swap it to supercharge the L36.

The other option would be to drop the subframe on both cars and switch. Unless the Bonne subframe has rust issues. I think you'd use the whole engine harness on the Supercharged motor, and then just get the security tuned on the Bonne PCM. Both cars use the same PCM, so you'll just have to have one programmed to work with the S/C engine in the LeSabre. I've never done the swap personally, so I don't know what else is involved.
