I have an ECU from a 98 SE with OSID 9361300 and my DHP says it is unsupported. Can I reflash it with a 98 SE with OSID 9379800?

I dont see why not. one may be a newer or older version of the tune. DHP did what was the newest at the time for support so it may be an updated or older version then whats on the car. should work best i can tell. I did the same with my 00 SSEI and my buddies 00 Regal GS.

Throw your VIN in here and it should give you a list of OSID's compatible with your PCM.

using a vin I have for a 98 L36 Bonneville I can see that those two OSID's are compatible. You should be good to go there.

When updating the OS I usually do a full write just to be safe. Not entirely sure if it's required but it seems like it's a good practice to me.

yes the 800 is the Latest and greatest Version of the OSID. I would flash that one and work DHP from that point
