Right off the get go, the car is not a Bonneville but rather a 93 LeSabre. Being H body should share the same subframe, correct?

Subframe has rotted out to the point of no return. The bushings are shot, but also the frame has rot. Would like to pull engine and replace with newer style subframe, if possible. I had read somewhere here (or somewhere else on the interwebs) that a newer subframe would bolt right up to my car. Is this true?

The idea here is to pull the engine, drop subframe & swap out with newer engine (S2 L67) and subframe. From my understanding I'd be best off to get the subframe, engine, transmission (4T65-HD), and computer to make the swap as easy as possible. I've pulled/rebuilt engines before so I have the basics covered. Any special information/surprises I might run into would be nice to know!

I'm looking for a donor car. Ideally I'd find a park avenue (like my 03 PAU), since I believe it uses the same style engine mounts. Not the Dogbone type mounts that go from the top of the engine to the radiator shroud like on Grand Prix (Grand Am??)

Thanks in advance!

Jeremy

All 92-99 H-body subframes should be identical. The 00+ will not bolt up.

Great info. Thanks.

I'm guessing 00+ is when they went to the style thats under my 03. Looks like aluminum almost?

the park Ave isn't an H body so it has a different frame than the 2000+ anyway.
