I have a 03 bonneville se and i was wondering what are some mods that are actully worth doing to the 3800 NA for performance?

Intake, downpipe, plog (front manifold from zzp), rockers and PCM flash... Lol or turbo. But if you don't do turbo, headers are pretty cheap these days, couple hundred bux and they also replace the downpipe. I hear the HV3 insert from zzp makes a little more torque and is easy to put on

where are you buying cuple hundred headers? and i checked out zzp for the downpipe with cat and they only have 3" instead of 2.5"

Speed Daddy or SS AutoChrome headers can be had for a little over 200 bucks.

You're going to want to port your lower intake manifold. That mod gave my N/A Bonneville the most kick. Some basic tuning and I have my 0-60s in the 7.6 range. Rockers will put you near a stock SSEi, especially if you get an HV3 insert. If you're not looking for a RaceKar, I think you'll be happy with the aforementioned mods. You'd be a little quicker than a stock SSEi and could still run 87 Octane fuel.
