installing my headers today, Pacesetter's instructions say to use copper sealer on the gaskets but dont say where and how much, do you guys know? These rusty bolts underneath are killers.

Just use the stock gaskets with no sealer.

I ended up taking the rear manifold out from underneath the car as well as pushing the header up the same way. Just looked like alot less likely of snagging on wires. I see the problem on the Pacesetter header as far as the egr tube. The original factory manifold has a much larger hole for the egr tube. No way will the tube fit in the flange, so I am going to remove the egr assembly, cut the extended tube flush and use a high temp copper sealer and bolt it back on. Dont really see any other way of doing it. Will the smaller egr tube on the header compared to stock really matter? BTW I will NEVER do this again on my back!! My neighbor has a lift but allways is used even though he says anytime.

One piece to go, the reducer from the cat to the pipe before resonator. The rear 02 stays as is, I'll see if there are leaks tonight. Still need an extention for the pre cat 02 too, can they be bought at local parts store?

Check your local NAPA.. I've never had luck with chains (Autozone, Advanced Auto, O'Reilly, etc) when it comes to exhaust pieces. Tell NAPA what you need, they can probably find it.

Finally all done, am I glad I did it? Yes. Would I do it again? Never, well if I had a lift maybe. Took it out for a ride a few minutes ago, I can feel a difference but not a head jerking difference. Now its time for a tune and the 3.4 I have sitting here. I have been thinking I will go ahead and do the shift kit and most likely the trans cooler for trans life. I dont think I hear any exhaust leaks but plan to have it welded up at a good muffler shop that has done work for me over the years at a real reasonable price. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Nice job, looks good! Yes, not the easiest things in the world to put on because of the tight spaces in behind the engine, but certainly not the worst!

Took it to my favorite muffler shop, welded up the cat at both ends and made a reducer to the resonator and welded that all for 41 and some change
