I think the 2.25" core fits fine uner out hood. To be sur just use some plumbers dope or modeling clay on top of the blower ro see how much room there is.

In the meantime, gimme your ssic!

With the Gen V there does not look like there is room. There is about 1/2 inch of clearance now.

There are very few people on this forum that run IC's, and even fewer who post regularly (I personally don't know of anyone really who posts often on here). I think if you're out of hood clearance you're kind of stuck with what you have or another custom setup that doesn't go any further up.

I don't recall the GenV being any taller, and I've rebuilt a few. The Gen3 fuel rail fits it fine. That should be the indicator. Get some Play-Doh and find out how much room you have left. And find out lust how much vertical height that core requires, depending on the IC design, it may not be the same as the thickness of the core depending on how it's mounted in the IC plates.

I just looked at it again and it looks like there is just enough clearance above the supercharges, but not above the TB and the TB adapter. Would a N* tb work better?

IIRC ZZP makes a turndown for the GTP's with the Gen V.

how large is the aftercooler? may be a worth while upgrade to add a larger aftercooler and a higher volume pump for your existing IC if hood clearance is an issue. the SC cobalt guys run mustang SVT cobra aftercoolers as a cheap upgrade. just a thought
