I'm willwren, not Beast. You missed some cracks. Please read the topic I linked above. You will find more micro-cracks when you use water as suggested in that topic. Most of your cracks aren't visible.

If you miss a crack, and it gets worse, it can cost you a motor with the wrong size pulley on that supercharger.

For more information, read this:

I finaly got my manifolds back from the shop. They welded the one crack and stich welded all the pipes around the runers it only cost me 25.00 bucks. I went ahead and did the water test and found no leaks. So I got out my Cordless drill and a carbide bur grinder and ported them. It only took me 40 min. to do both manifolds. I would post pics but it says not to on this board.

What says not to post pics?

Porting your manifolds did nothing for performance whatsoever. It was a waste of time. The exhaust manifold ports are already larger than your exhaust ports on the heads. And read this in your spare time: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=24362

It has to help some there was carbon buildup on the welds from the old manifolds. That causes more heat in that area which causes cracks. Besides that i am getting my heads ported. This car was just sitting behind the garage anyway if it goes boom i will put it back together with bigger and stronger parts.

Been there, done that, good luck. You're starting with the wrong year and the wrong car. Pour your money in, and don't expect much of a return. You won't enjoy it for long.

Carbon buildup over the LIFETIME of your manifolds is not uncommon, and since the ports are so large to begin with, the carbon wasn't causing any decreased performance. I know the head port size and manifold port size very well.

My very strong advice to you is to repair the car (like welding the manifolds) and maintain it for long life with MILD mods at most.
