I know this question has been beat to death, but I checked as mch as I could and didnt see any recent posts so here goes..

Is the only way to add headers on this by modding a pace setter set, or PLog? and If there are options available now ( that I ve obviously missed ) please post up a link or 2

Im dropping the trans pan and changing the filter and Installing a shift hit next weekend ( first day off in 4 weeks  )

Whats the better deal here? Going with the street/strip performance shift pack here

OR

Just going with the standard shift kit ( below ) and buying new filters and gaskets separate

Any headers made for Grand Prix's will fit on our cars. Pacesetter's, SLP's, TOG's, SSAC, SpeedDaddy, the cheap e-bay ones, etc.

really? I thought there was some issues with the fit since the GPs are a little different under the hood, Which is why I thought everyone was putting PLogs on the bonnevilles

as for the shift kit, is it worth getting the full shift pack , or just the shift kit any buy everything else separate? I guess the only thing that would matter is the quality of everything in the pack.

The only real difference for the headers to go on a Bonneville is the transmission dipstick. You either need to bend yours or get one from a w-body.

yea I was just reading up on the dipstick issue, pretty harmless issue,, Which I assume is another reason some ppl just go with plogs?

So many options out there.. Has the board come to a consensus on what seems to be the best product? Ive seen a few issue with the TOGs coming apart at the connections

TOG's are the ones that don't come apart. The SLP and Pacesetters have had that problem, but most weld them up. There isn't really one set better than the other, but you just want to make sure you get a set that has the ceramic coating. It keeps some of the heat in the pipe and not the engine bay.

On the 2k+ you will want to do the catalytic converter at the same time. Due to the stock location, it is easier to remove it and put in a high flow cat instead. The stock flange ended up right where my headers ended and it would have been a lot of trouble to move the cat back so I just cut it out and welded in a Magnaflow.
