Those performance modules on ebay that claim to boost 60 plus horsepower and --tourque and incraese fuel milage up to 20 MPG are they acutally worth the 10 bucks or not.

the module plugs into IAT sensor and claims to adjust the signal. I read some reviews and some people claim it works great and others claim it's junk and it's just a resistor in a fancy box and that it desn't make a difference.

any experience with these modules? or any insights?

It is a resistor in a box. The best rule of thumb "If it looks too good to be true, look again, cause it is"

They are worthless. Not a single car runs them here, and even if you did, you wouldn't gain 5hp for more than about 5 minutes before your PCM made the corrections.

Get an INTENSE PCM.

What they said...

Basically, the resistor changes the voltage that the computer reads from the temp sensor in the intake, making it think it is getting cooler air, causing it to inject more fuel into the motor to compensate.
This only works for a few minutes on our cars, because our computers are SMART. If the reading from the O2 sensor doesn't jive with what the temp sensor says, it will simply cut the temp sensor out of the loop and rely on the other sensors. This does, however, mean that the computer can't govern the fuel/air mix quite as well, so you might actually LOSE some performance...
