I recently purchased a set of new snowtires for the SSEi, as it is going to be the winter car now. I am going to install my 3.8" MPS pulley, change my fuel rail (I have to anyway) and I was considering putting stock injectors back in, as I am not sure how it will run in sub zero temps with those 42.5's. Anyone have any experience with them below say -20F?
My only new concearn is, if I change the injectors, I will have to re-install my stock PCM, which is tuned for stock. I am running the 1.9 YellaTerra rockers, and have removed the rear 02 sensor. I know that will most likely set a permanent Check engine light.
Any insight?

Is the O2 gone from the harness or from the exhaust bung?

I have unlimited tunes for the '97 PCM. Let me know if you want to work something out (I have my old '97 PCM I can flash and send you).

I would just run the bigger pulley if you're that worried about it. Swapping out injectors, fuel rail, PCM all for what, less power and effeciency? With snow tires, you'll be glad you have it...

With the GTI I can select beween different ECU programs on my car on the fly, I will prob just leave it stage II as initial throttle tip-in is similar to the stock programs. Traction control will sort me out on snow, and a majority of winter driving in the cities can be on pavement not snow. Obviously every climate is different...
