There was someone part of this or the old BC that did this...also installed a 4T80 transmission IIRC with it. I think he completed it.

Actually the 4T80 was because he liked the idea of a bigger differential, but from what I remember the 4T65-HD can be beefed up to handle this also. I'm not too particular on this, hopefully someone with some more knowledge will chime in...

I love the idea and principle behind it. and only haveing a 4t-60 with a diff that can barely hold the stock tq im pretty sure just saving urself some time and money and just getting a big ol 4t80 would be so baddass.

Yes there is a bolt on kit: https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_pri ... &catid=109. Would have to be modified for the Bonneville a bit.

The ZZP kit is designed for Series 2's. Good luck adapting it to a Series 1.

I think i would buy a downpipe from them and ceramic exaust manifold then just buy the turbo and do the rest of the fabrication here. Theres a guy here who does lotts of work with turbos. (he has a dodge ram running 55plds of boost :ack: ) I would have to find somewhere to do the pcm for me...
what size injector would that need?
The ball bearing T76 done properly could probably see 800 horsepower...

You'll have to size the injectors to the amount of fuel needed vs. Airflow. I know Grayhare has the formulas, I'm not sure what they are at the moment.

I wouldn't go less than 60lbs. They should do the trick. 42.5s for that kind of power are a little small.

Again, are injectors different between S1 and S2?

I think you should actually do a little research, work out some cost estimates, and see what parts actually fit your model year before you begin to even think about doing any major project like this. (but thats only my $.02)

This is speculation. And possibly some planning ;) I want to drop in a 4T 80 anyways because i know it will take the power im going to aim for. then t and research and talk and research some more before i get a turbo. (spring possibly)

Good luck with the 4T80E. It's not a direct bolt-in, even to the engine. You'll have to have a custom adapter plate made, and have custom mounts and everything made.
