So looking at doing 300-350 hp on ye olde bonne and im looking at the drum brakes in the back..
Are there any 4 wheel disk brakes conversion kits out there or do i just have to go custom?
I want my baby to stop WELL because before putting performance in the car i want to be safe.

IIRC, a rear disc set-up would have to be custom, as the later model years will not swap over, but this also involves a larger master cylinder to push the needed volume,

do-able....yes, all custom, but i know you're not afraid to be crazy with it,

but do remember that rear brakes do 20-30% of the braking, it could be beneficial, but necessary is hard to say

The only advantage of disk vs. drum is cooling.

Properly adjusted drums can actually provide more brake torque than a disk.

There is no need to change to disk for street use. IMHO
Light to moderate track use may need shoe linings that can work at higher temps. (Road course not autocross or drag strip.)

Porterfield can recommend a compound based on the usage of the car. If they do not make a shoe for your car they can reline your old ones.

Part of it would be looks. But in the end if i did disks i would want 50 / 50 braking power.
Im just curious as too what exactly would need to be done.

50/50 is not possible. The front brakes do 70-80% of the braking, due to nosedive, and other laws of physics. It's just how it is, and you can't change it. Period.

Because of weight transfer. If you apply the same stopping force to all four wheels, the friction over the rear wheels will not be enough to keep the tires from breaking loose well before the fronts. The ideal braking setup would lock up all four at the same time and keep you pointed in the direction you want instead of spinning around.

It's mostly due to the fact that 70-80% of the car's weight gets transferred to the front tires during braking, due to inertia, suspension design, and weight transfer. Stuff that you can't change.

And more and more like a waste of money.
You don't need disk brakes.
Buy some brake paint, take your wheels off, mask off the suspension and stuff, and paint them black.
they'll look good, for a lot less money (wasted) than buying and adapting a disk kit.

I have 98-02 F-body dual piston aluminum calipers and 12" Powerslots on the front of my 95. I've been beating on them for almost a year now without issue. The the brakeing is muchhh better.
This did involve switching to a 00+ front knuckle and W-body front strut/spring.

I just did the brakes on the 94 SSEi.

Installed some drilled and slotted front rotors, new calipers painted red of course, painted up the rear drums and Monroe performance metallic pads.

It looks good and stops great!
