Im thinking a flowmaster muffler and just a complete replacement of the exhaust system. I currently have chrome tips, but i want to make it quad tips instead of double.

Any estimations on what i might be looking at to get the entire system redone?

You should ask a shop, but a good mandrel bend system will be pricey.

Why would you want to replace the whole system? The stock system is perfectly suitable for the NA L36. If anything just put a flowmaster muffler and a magnaflow cat and you will be set to go.

If stock SE has the stainless system(i dont know) just replace your muffler with a stainless muffler. If not replace it with stainless, you wont need another system for a very very long time.

All of our factory exhausts are mandrel bent stainless. There would be zero benefit to replacing the piping at this point on the car in question, unless there are massive mods we don't see.

The muffler won't gain you performance, only a change in sound. The Cat is the most important component to change.

the downpipe/manifolds can be improved also, but from the cat back you're good stock unless you want a different sound.

yea i read before that the muffler doesnt really do anything for performance, i just wanted a little better sound out of it.

the main reason i guess i was planning on doing the whole system is because i have a grand prix 99 and the whole exhaust system is kind of starting to go to *shoot* so i figured why not just get a brand new aftermarket one ran in the bonne while im at it just to increase the life...

That and the chrome tips i have right now are securely on the pipes, but not welded on. the shop that put them on wouldnt weld them, and like i said i want quad outs anyways. I was just going to have it all redone and then have the quads welded on in the process.

Ive never done much with the exhausts on any of my cars except for when mufflers needed change so i dont know that much about what exactly should be done or not

well the whole system is stainless, it shouldn't really deteriorate too much.
