My wifes 02 regal stalled out the other day, it would start up then die out immediately so, had it towed home. When I got home after work it started rite up and I took it for a ride for maybe 3 miles at operating temp, ran great. Half hour of so I went back out to start it up and did the same stall out thing, if I held the pedal down some when cranking it would run but, pretty roughly. Took the ICM to local auto parts who could test it but, found nothing bad with the module only it was cold and a hot engine seems to set the problem off. Is this the symtom of a bad ICM?

ok, unplugged the MAF and it idles and am able to rev engine. Letting it run and will go back and check it in 10 minutes or so. If it is bad where do I get those weird screw driver bits?

its torx tamper proof - I get some 100 sand paper and take down the centre 'nipple' - then you can get a hex key to work.

you cant go hard with maf unplugged - keep rpm under 2500

double checked things again, runs when unplugged and dies when I plug it back in, went to O'reillys to purchase one but, it was nearly double the price as Amazon, I'll wait till Monday to save 60.00. Thanks alot for your help

you can clean the maf with maf cleaner - that may be all you need.
