So its not what you think. :P I ended up with a Firebird but the car doesn't have any keys. So I'm wondering if there is any way to get power or get it to run? Should be able to just jump the starter but that won't give me any fuel.

Was told it ran and drove just want to make sure it actually does before I go through the bother of saving the drivetrain for another project.

I know the vats is easy enough to bypass but I am almost illiterate when it comes to wiring.

Any ideas?

The easiest way, if it's not too old, is to just lookup the VIN at the dealer and get a key made

If the '96 still had the standard GM column just buy a new ignition cylinder -OR- exchange the cylinder with one from another car that has a key.

Wiring is going to be a huge pain, I would think you're better off manually actuating the ignition switch, with your VATS bypass.
