the wife's Regal trunk lid is coming down real fast lately , the wind will even blow it down at times. I don't think it ever opened up with the button release nor do I know if it should? Is there a auto open for it or are new struts all the option I have?

What year regal? They don't use the torsion rods?

I'm guessing this is a newer regal. 1997-2003.

There is no auto open for the trunk, aside from the latch release. Yes, you will need new struts for the trunk of the car.

Here's a link. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... 15940005-p

Looks like they are on sale right now too. Plus use discount code ES123 get $10 off $30. (Cost ya $20 for new lifts for trunk).

Or buy a little more and get $20 off $50.

yup. 98-03 will all have the same trunk struts. But if you get em at advance you can use the discount and get em $10 each.
