I looked/asked on the GP forum and figured I'd ask on here as well..
whats the procedure for replacing a window and motor/regulator? For the front passenger door..

I took the door panel off to look at it.. The regulator is in the up position and since the motor is toasted, I cant seem to get it to come down to pull it out to replace.. I picked up another window at the JY and while I was getting that out. I attempted to try and get one out there but it too was in the up position and I couldn't get it out at all..

Is there a better way to do this? Would like to get the window done soon as it's starting to get cold.. Thanks

When I remove the window regulators from the cars I part out, I usually hot wire the window motors with a cordless drill battery. If the motor is toast (doesn't move at all), you could try to access the bolts that hold the motor to the regulator. If you can't get them off, I don't see any possible way to get the regulator out unless you smash the glass.

The window is already broke out. I'll try hotwiring the motor though and see if it works.
And the driver front window will only go up and down about 1inch. Would that be the motor or regulator?

Hard to tel until u get the regulator out. Interesting that you can't maneuver the regulator out even with the broken window. Hokk up power to the regulator once you get it out of the window and see if it spins up and down

Did you loosen the two bolts that hold the regulator to the glass? There may be enough of the window left holding the regulator in place. The instructions show to have the window in the full up position in order to remove it.
