Route 66 doesn't have TnT times anymore for 2014. Last one was 9/26.

The cool weather would be nice to run, but the best time to go is after the NHRA Nationals in June. Reason being, they prep the track for Nitro swilling TF cars. So if they can hook, your car will. You pay the price with warmer temps though.

One more reason why the NHRA taking the fall race away from route 66 a couple of years back pissed a lot of us off. Going that week after the fall race would generate monster times (and lots of broken parts).

Ah, thats too bad, a couple years ago I thought they had the TNT up until late October, don't think I would worry about breaking parts on my car

Byron out SW of Rockford is the next best track to go to. But that's only open weekends, and now, it'll be packed as everyone tries to get the last runs of the season in.
