This sucks, they are trying to write my car off. I just got this email.

Hi Joel

Your vehicle will be a total loss and the adjuster should be contacting you soon.

Thanx

I just bought a Regal LS, great cars i might add. I am extremely sorry for your loss, if it is a lost....the noise you are describing from the rear of the vehicle is most likely the track bar bent and the toe/camber adjuster bar also bent.

yeah, It sounds like a total loss to me as well. Looking at the damage to the area of the rear wheel well is where a lot of money would be spent, cause that would most likely be cut out and replaced since it would be very hard to fix it.

As for it being totaled, you'll want to try and find similar cars in your area with similar miles to get pricing for it so you know what to use for replacement cost, since you can negotiate the final settlement, especially if it is below the actual prices for vehicles in your area. Also, don't forget to get compensated for your hassle of being without a car, and any injuries you may have suffered (no matter how minor, get them checked out)

And remember, you can try to buy the car back as well, granted it'll have a salvage title, but you could then have it fixed yourself (probably for a lot less) and still have the car. Selling it again may be an issue. You could also part it out and make some money if that's an option (or sell it to Ed Morad)

how many miles does it have? I'd cash out and keep it as a parts car then buy another GS

As JF mentioned, the rear wheel area is probably the costliest.

Make sure you get full cost for the car + full cost for any aftermarket parts, or are able to take them off.
