Looks like it is going to be some great weather for making power, track opens up at 10 AM, lanes open at 11 AM. It is only supposed to be about 40* at that time, so it should make some good power

Depending on traction and my launch, I am hoping for low 15s or high 14s :beerchug:

My friend is hoping for 12.50s in his Lightening, going for a PB. His old PB was after hotlapping in 75* weather and was 12.69, I think he will top that today with ease!

Ryan, with your mods, I'd be willing to bet you'll get a 14.8-.9 or so.

Got about nine runs in. Timeslip up soon, but I didn't run what I had expected.....

****EDIT****

How about a 14.421 :beerchug:

Image

I think I am happy with that!!!

Magnaflow cat
INTENSE standard PCM, no timing added
gutted airbox with K&N drop in
solid front trans mount
half tank of 92 octane
zero weight reduction
no ELC trick
regular tire pressure
front seats moved forward
about 40 degrees outside

I just could not get traction off the line for the first few runs, I had to warm the tires up in the waterbox to get any traction. Before I started doing burnouts, I couldn't leave the line with more then 1/4 throttle without spinning. After burnouts, I was able to give about 1/2 throttle with this run leaving the line at about 2/3 throttle.

yeah.... my reaction time still SUCKS :ack:

So all you have for mods is a CAT and PCM?

R/T doesn't mean a ton unless you're racing another car, because it will just sit there and wait until your front tires cross the line. That's what is timed, not the time from when the lights turn green.

Yeah, and the PCM isn't even set for more timing either :)

I am happy :beerchug:

I have been looking around, but can't seem to find what other basically stock 00+ SSEi's run? I am curious to see how this compares.

I got a call from Ryan this afternoon and he was like "Guess what she ran?"
I said a "14.8-14.7?"
"Try 14.4."
:eek2: "Wow! Niiiice!"

Seriously though, nice time! Like you said, the temperature probably helped a good deal but still, Congrats!

that's a very respectable time with those mods and the stock pulley on there... not to mention the 2.0 60ft time... i think that had a lot to do with ur 1/4 mile time being where it is.... with an intense fenderwell intake, 180 t-stat, solid front mount and ngk tr55"s i ran a 14.8 @ 93.5 with my 2000 ssei (temps were around 80 degrees and my 60fts were 2.2) i have yet to go back since then but now i have a 3.5 MPS, 3" downpipe and resonator delete, and i was hoping to run a time like yours with that setup.... =D> congrats

A 2.05 60' is more than just "pretty good" when the outside temps are 40*...
