Get ethanol-free gas if at all possible! Better fuel economy, and "possibly" better-grade oil used to make it since they can't dope poor-quality gas with ethanol to make the octane rating.

Yes it's a conspiracy theory type thing. All but the better fuel economy part. Can't knock that apart!

I've noticed much worse mileage with certain gas stations than others. Even if they were 5-10 cents/gallon cheaper than everybody else, I'd still avoid them because my fuel economy always sucked with their gas. $1 per tank or 50 extra miles per tank...No brainer!

Then again you're comparing your modified Ei to my mostly stock LeSabre. Your car is modded to go fast, while mine isn't quite as modded. I'd expect yours to do worse on highway fuel economy because it can spank mine all day long.

Another 37 mpg highway trip with the trunk full of stuff. These things are awesome!

All the go-fast bits aren't doing much when you're cruising on the highway. These cars have tiny overdrive gears, so highway economy is pretty consistent.

I always get a chuckle when I see an ad for say a small economy Toyota claiming to get 34-35 mpg, and I know my big sedan can do the same.

Plus, having that extra power at the tip of my toe is nice, too!

But the big sedan won't do near 30 mpg in town in stop and go traffic, it'll do 20 at best.

Eh, personally, I'm not as concerned about in-town mileage, as it can be hard sometimes to control that supercharger, lol!!

I was mainly referring to highway anyway, which is most of my traveling nowadays, and where I save the most bucks on gas.
