Staying at the Residence Inn in PHX. I don't actually arrive until 8:29 pm on 10/24, I was thinking of coming Thurs, but since I'm already taking 7 days off work, better not.

Soooo . . . . you kids may have to go to the track without me on Friday, then we can do something on Sat. Anything running at Manzanita on Saturday? Those are fun to watch. I'm up for anything, since my vacation actually starts at 1:40 pm 10/24 when I get on a plane in Boise to Seattle (taking the LONG way to PHX, but WTH, it's a FREE ticket!)

There are ten Residence Inn's in the phoenix area. Which one?
- Only three of them have a Phoenix address.
any chance its Chandler or Glendale?

I don't mind going on a Mustang night, my little 3.8 liter V6 puts up a good challange for those V8's... no worries, my feelings won't be hurt.
I'd run against a V6 Mustang any day.

The only problem with any other car is the attitudes of the owners.

That hotel is on the north part of Phoenix, but centrally located enough to get anywhere in about 40 minutes.

Firebird doesn't even open the gates until 6 and drags begin at 7 and run until at least mid-night.

Crap....my daughter has a vball tournament that weekend and my son has a fball game that saturday. I just watched two seasoned fball players break their arms - both in the same opening game. My son has a back/rib injury from early on in the season... I am sort of spooked now about not being around in case he gets injured.

Normally it's no big deal...they would stay with their father... but he moved and is 800 miles away now. <big heavy sigh> ... being a single mom isn't all it's cracked up to be... it makes you feel guilty about going away.

I'm sorry Kevin and Celine....I won't be able to come out in October. I will, however (Tom and Bob) be out there for Thanksgiving weekend from Wed - Sunday. I am chaperoning my friend's 8yr old daughter as she visits her dad. Just like the last time I was out there actually. They pay for the ticket...I pay for parking. Awesome.

I am bummed I won't get to see the Idaho folks....next year... WCBF....

Finished job in Phoenix earlier this evening and capped the evening with a dinner at Los Dos Molinos. OMG that is some serious good food Bob. I have to ship some things back to Idaho tomorrow and take coworker to the airport. I pick Celin up at the airport at 8:49. Do you guys still plan to go to Firebird? Neither Thomas or I will be running at Firebird, but I still plan on going since I have a friend in the Mustang club and he is planning on being there.

Also, I was thinking we could go to the Pavillion's on Saturday. There is a fantastic car show (free) that begins at 4PM.
