Year and Trim: 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SSE
Hey everybody!

This last summer, I bought a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SSE from a buddy, who had it sitting in his yard for about four months. It ran great through the summer, but about a month ago, it just up and died. Right before hand, the thermostat gauge became unresponsive, and said buddy (who is now unavailable) said not to turn it on and drive it, because it was overheating right before I killed the engine for the last time.

This morning, me and three other buddies are gonna see if we cant get it up and running before the apt tows is for being parked too long. If anyone has an helpful info on how to go about it, please keep me in mind. I've got a tier 3 diagnostic scanner, and a few general textbooks and a complete set of mechanics' tools. I'll be posting updates as I go, and questions if anyone has time to take a look at them.

Please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong area. Currently scouring online for wiring schematics and how to read them. When I bought it, it had about three inches of standing water on both sides of the front seat floor. I'm thinking it might have corroded the grounds and be the reason some of the buttons for seat adjustment and such are not working. All fuses look okay, but willing to buy new ones if need be.

Thank you in advance for yall's time and expertise!
