Hi to everyone on this forum, i have just made an acct and joined. i have searched and read many posts and writes ups on this forum for the past 10 years and because of the site i have been able to repair everything on the car myself and have been able to keep it in TOP running condition that i can. the only thing i havent done myself was the transmission replacement about 3 years ago. so for that i am very grateful for everyone on here and making all this information to me and others possible. Thank you.
The car is a 2005 Bonneville SLE currently with 228K on it. I bought it in July of 2007 with 72K on it. I love it to this day

Thank you guys, it took me a long while searching for the wheels I thought would look best on the car.
They are Avid1 av30 in 17×8 with a 38 offset and 73.6 centerbore. They only had a 5×114.3 mm lug pattern available, no 5×115mm. Luckily havent had any problems or vibrations with that lug spacing

As long as you have the center hub bore spacers, the small difference in the bolt pattern shouldn't matter.

^^ Completely agree. I've run 114.3x5 wheels with and without them being hubcentric. The without was 15 years or so ago before I knew better. No matter how I tightened the wheels down non-hubcentric I would end up with stretched studs/loose lugs and premature wheel bearing failures. After I went hub centric (with rings or spacers) I had zero issues.

Welcome. I agree the car looks like it's in great shape. Cali car it's whole life?

I definitely learned about hub centric rings the hard way in my younger days lol. Of course right now I have them on rings to bring them down to the 70.3 mm hub.
You got it, it has been a Cali car its whole life, it was first sold to and owned by a guy in Los Angeles and then somehow made it to a used car lot in the Bay Area ca where I bought it in 07. (I live South San Francisco)

Nice. I picked up a 17 yr old Cali car last year and the undercarriage was equivalent to maybe 5-7 years in PA.
