Year and Trim: 1966 4-door hardtop
Hi!
Some days ago I bought my 1966 Bonneville 4-door Hardtop. A dream came true!
He still has a lot of work to do but that's okay for me.
I'm from the North of Germany and I'm addicted to cars since I bought my first one 23 years ago.
Through the years I collected and repaired a few old german Opel from the 70s and 80s and a 1979 Firebird with a 77-front.
Well, that's it in few words...
Hope to have a good time here and maybe to get some help and answers cause I have a lot to learn about full size Pontiacs
Greetz form Germany,
Sabine

I know that most People don't like the "patina-look" but this was one of the main reasons for me to buy this car and no other...
I will protect the patina with a special oil, will polish the chrome (the chrome is still really nice!), the seats will get new covers, the engines runs great and just needs some cleaning and all sealings/weatherstrips and all bushings have to be renewed. Well, enough work for months... and months... and months...

So here are some pics of my 66 Bonneville with lots of Patina from the day I bought him:

Sorry, but it didn't work to show the images here without the links... maybe I did something wrong...

Nothing wrong with that. We call them Rat Rods in the states. Bring 'em as you found 'em. I was just at a car show held by a club called the Frankensteiners and there were cars in just about every driveable state you could bring one in.

Looks to be the same color, even the same hubcaps as my '66 Catalina. The color I believe is called "Lucerne Mist". Mine is a 4-door post car but with a white roof.

I've always really liked that body. Hope you are able to restore the car. Thanks for sharing! - BC

Thank you for the friendly welcome!
Great to hear that I'm not the only one who likes Patina :)
The colour is fountain blue if google and the plate on my car are right.
I also thought about a 66 Catalina when I had some differences with the seller of my Bonneville (was a six week "fight" to get it) but well, I love the Bonneville and I'm happy to have him in my garage now...
