Hello everyone. I was on this forum about 4 years ago when I had a '96 SE that had the typical issue with the shorted out (buss?) that control the power windows, locks and fuel pump. Everyone here was incredibly helpful and I'm proud to say I now own a '99 SE that was towed into the car lot I work at with a seized motor. Offerred them $200 bucks and I once again am a proud Bonneville owner. Now I just need to find a motor lol...but I know this is the place to do it. So hello again everyone after a 4 year absence

Hello.. welcome back... If you look for a 3800 look for the L26 Vin 2 engine... They were used in 05-08 Buick's and Pontiacs.. You may be able to score a low mileage unit.. as well all of the series II parts will bolt right to the series III..

thanks for the advice. So far finding engines with around 90k miles shipped to me for about $700. I will try searching for those engines too and see what I can some up with

Also look at the 04-05 Lesabres, Bonnevilles and impalas... Those 3800's if they have low miles should also be good as long as the upper intake has or had not failed..

I am starting to come up with more questions so I am gonna go to the gearhead section of the forum but again many thanks as I found a motor from a 2006 Buick Lucerne with 50k miles for less than the $700 motor with 99k miles.
